On 3 December, the R&D&I Chair for the Prevention of Dependency had the honour of participating in the Working Table on the occasion of the International Day of Disability, a meeting that brought together experts, professionals, institutions and people committed to the promotion of inclusion and equal opportunities for people with disabilities at the Rectorate of the University of Malaga.
At this event, the Chair reaffirmed its commitment to the development of innovative strategies for the prevention of dependency and the improvement of the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations. Participation in this working group is part of the main objectives of the Chair, among which are the generation of knowledge, the transfer of good practices and the design of effective solutions in the biopsychosocial field.
The Working Table is an opportunity to discuss current and future challenges in the field of disability and dependence, as well as to explore collaborative initiatives between public, private and academic entities. The director of the Chair, Luis Miguel Rondón, stressed the importance of working from an inclusive approach that not only addresses current needs, but also promotes the autonomy and active participation of people with disabilities in all areas of society.
