The Chair for the Prevention of Dependency Receives Award for Best Research Practices at TECNODEPENDENCIA 2025

Alcázar de San Juan, May 16, 2025 — The R&D&I Chair for the Prevention of Dependency has been honored with the Award for Best Research Practices during the TECNODEPENDENCIA 2025 event, held on May 15 and 16 in Alcázar de San Juan.

The recognition was granted for the development of an innovative tool for the prevention of dependency, designed to assess a person’s risk of becoming dependent and to promote proactive and personalized intervention.

The tool, the result of interdisciplinary work among professionals in the social, healthcare, and technological fields, was praised for its preventive approach, scientific foundation, and practical applicability. The award ceremony took place during the TECNODEPENDENCIA conference, a national benchmark forum on innovation, technology, and care for dependency, bringing together experts, researchers, and sector professionals.

On behalf of the Chair, researcher Arturo Cosano Ramos publicly expressed his gratitude for this recognition, emphasizing that “the prevention of dependency must be a key pillar” and noting that this award reinforces the research team’s commitment to knowledge transfer.
